Honda Airbag Inflator Recall
To our customers and friends:
Honda has issued a recall on defective Takata airbag inflators in certain Honda and Acura vehicles.
Honda and Tracy Honda are committed to your safety and to your satisfaction, so, if your Honda or Acura is affected by the recall, follow the steps listed below and have your airbags replaced.
How the recall works:
Please follow these steps both to determine if your Honda or Acura vehicle has a recalled airbag inflator, and to replace your recalled inflator with a fully functional one.
- Visit recalls.owners.honda.com/service-maintenance/recalls to confirm that your vehicle’s airbag inflator is recalled, or if your vehicle requires any other recall maintenance.
- If your inflator does need to be replaced, call a service advisor at Tracy Honda with your vehicle’s 17-digit VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) to initiate the ordering process for the replacement part.
- Your service advisor will call you when the replacement part arrives to set up an installation appointment.
Most recall maintenance can be completed within the same day. We will provide you with shuttle transportation to work or home or, if necessary, a loaner car while we install the replacement part.
