While Honda has offered a natural gas option in their lineup for well over ten years, it's only been available in four states. But this fall, you'll be able to find the technology nationwide - 38 states and over 200 dealers will be able to sell the Honda Civic Natural Gas (CNG).
Honda has recently announced pricing for the 2012 Natural Gas Civic variant. The base MSRP rings in at $26,155, plus a $750 destination fee. While this is more than the traditional Honda Civic, you'll more than make up for it in fuel savings. Natural gas is priced about 30% lower than regular gasoline, and it produces hardly any smog-forming emissions. And, in California, CNGs can travel in carpool lanes, regardless of the number of occupants.
A growing interest in alternative-fuel transportation has led Honda to expand the number of states able to sell the Honda Civic GX. And with this next-gen model, Honda answers the request for environmentally-friendly vehicles. Even with the all-electric vehicles that have recently gone into production, the CNG remains greenest vehicle on the road. That's right. The Honda Civic GX has been named the "Greenest Vehicle" by the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) for the eight year in a row!
We're sure you'll find the Honda Civic GX rolling into dealers like Tracy Honda, located at 3450 Auto Plaza Way Tracy, CA, soon. In the meantime, contact us anytime via our website, or stop into our showroom during regular business hours. We'd be happy to show you all of the other green options Honda has to offer, including the 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid, and the gas-sipping 2012 Honda Accord.
